Clip-Clap

An alternative controller (alt ctrl) game where you can record short videos using a giant clapperboard controller. Developed as more of an exhibition piece to showcase at UC Davis cinema & digital media events. The controller was made using a base of cardboard and electrical tape. The functionality was placed on two wooden boards that have copper & wire connections to our USB board. The project was completed over the course of two weeks.

Controls

Navigate the main menu using point-and-click controls. Choose your preferred camera input device in the settings menu, then press play to start the game. The game can be played by pressing the spacebar, by closing the Clip-Clap controller if you have access to it, or by using your own controller mapped to spacebar!

Note

Downloading for Windows or Mac is recommended as videos will not save or be accessible between play sessions on the web version.
